Having the ability to deploy key hole surgery techniques allows engineers to gain an insight into what is going on inside bridges, from the survey of post tension structures, such as the iconic Skye Bridge, through to showing where the crown of bridges have failed; we have decades of experience of surveying such assets. We can provide instruments through to confined space drones for the internals and cameras and ROV's for the foundations.
Our technicians use a number of different UAV's to carry out surveys of many structures which can include bridges, abutments and features around such structures. Our teams can also deploy units designed for inside confined spaces. More advanced units can now deploy NDT instruments such as UT.
Bridges are made of many different materials- Metal being one and Ultrasonic Testing is an NDT Service provided by Inspectahire.
Ultrasonic Testing uses sound waves of short wavelength and high frequency to detect flaws or measure material thickness. Such mechanical waves can travel large distances in fine grain metal, in the form of a divergent wave with progressive attenuation. Our UT instruments can be deployed by our technicians or hired.
Contact our technical team for all enquiries. Our teams are here to help and ready to provide friendly advice on all aspects of inspection projects.
