Inspectahire provide a range of pipework and vessel inspection cameras as well as tank inspection systems and has worked on many of the North Sea's and African FPSO's both during build and in service. An extensive range of ATEX instruments is complimented by of range of Infra red cameras for condition monitoring, gas emission surveys and surveillance.
Optical Gas Imaging is the method of using thermal infrared cameras to visualize gas, including methane and many other organic gases. These specialised Thermal Cameras are fast-acting gas leak detection devices. They help keep your workers, your workplace, and your environment safer.
A variety of cameras exist which enables a very wide range of gases to be surveyed for their emission.Regular inspections can identify problems before they arise, saving you time and money in the long run.
Thermal imaging or IR cameras have a wide range of applications. Thermal imaging cameras can be used to identify a many issues, such as problems with thermal insulation on hot vessels or pipework and therefore critical when moisture is getting in and creating the potential for CUI.
Control rooms and sub stations must be regularly checked for electrical faults, panels can have IR windows fitted so that surveys can be done more safely. Surveys of pumps and seperators are also a common application.
Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC) and other advanced eddy current inspection techniques are ideal tools for detecting corrosion under insulation (CUI) and fireproofing (CUF). Advanced eddy current inspection technology can help detect hidden corrosion before it becomes a potentially expensive and hazardous problem. Inspectahire utilizes Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC) and PEC Array (PECA) inspection services for tanks, spheres, piping systems, and other assets.
Caissons have been part of Offshore Production platforms for decades and our expertise has been in providing CCTV surveys of these with a range of cameras and cetralisers.
Many of our systems are explosion proof and these can compliment the waterproof units and the ROV's which are regularly deployed to check on the condition of these.
We have also developed our own bespoke internal Caisson inspection device so that NDT surveys can be performed.
Like tank inspections, we have the capability to inspect vessels both off and onshore. Often the decision on how the inspection is performed comes down to working with our clients to understand the product or process being undertaken and then deciding what iare the viable inspection methods. It may be a combination of RVI and UT or UT & PEC for example.
Cargo tanks hold many different products and our services and equipment can be used to ascertain the internal condtions without having to put people at risk by man entry. CCTV technology can be inserted on manipulators or poles or if the fluid is clear by ROV.
If the tank is a safe condition, we can fly our drones inside these as well. This type of survey is becoming more accepted by the Regulatory authorities.
Pipework provides the arteries of any plant or vessel and inspecting them using our Remote Visual inspection services utilises a vast range of endoscopes, borescopes, CCTV, NDT technology and all the different methods of deploying are utilised in the sea, in air or in the ground to ascertain the condition of these subjects.
Our experience has even extended to clearing blockages and locating foreign objects.
Ultrasonic Testing is one of the NDT Services that can be provided by Inspectahire. We have a range of UT instruments - ATEX / Waterproof / and even bespoke for the differing applications our clients have.
Verifying the thickness of metal and its condition is widely required throughout the refining industry and its affiliates. Probes can be deployed by our technicians or mounted onto mechanised deployment devices and now even by drone.
Inspectahire carry out Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) surveys across a wide range of clad assets on platforms and is perhaps one of the most significant integrity threats that the oil and gas industry faces today.
Water ingress causes damage to pipework and other susceptible steel elements, but the corrosion process underneath existing insulation materials is one of the most difficult to prevent. We deploy with Thermal Imaging technology, moisture meters, as well as X-ray backscatter technology to identify areas where there is a probability of CUI.
Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), also known as Penetrant Testing (PT), Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) or Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI). Dye Penetrant Testing is a method that is used to reveal surface breaking flaws by bleed out of a coloured or fluorescent dye from the flaw.
Inspectahire offers standard Hardness Testing to NACE MR-01-75 (ISO 15156) using industry standard testing machines including Krautkramer MIC10-DL. This is a hardness tester that is handheld, so it can be taken anywhere. This equipment also has small arrow probes that enable our technicians to make measurements on positions difficult to access.
Inspectahire’s PMI inspection service, is more and more being used to check that materials are up to specification. Used as part of the QA function, PMI inspection is essential for ensuring safety, regardless of the role the material is to serve. As the PMI unit is portable, testing can either be done at our premises or out in the field.
We have Videoprobes from sub 3mm diameter through to the longest at 30m, which allows many inspection requirements to be provided for. Our range includes explosion proof versions.
Articulated Videoscopes offer the user a host of advanced features enabling remote visual inspection of difficult or hard to reach areas. Some have interchangeable objectives, other can have a stereo measurment capability.
As well as hiring such instruments, we can carry out an internal inspection of pipes, pressure vessels, machined galleries, turbines etc on site.
Corrosion Rate/Remaining Life Determination. The corrosion rate of vessels and piping may be determined by one of several methods. Calculation of data collected on vessels in the same or similar service provides a reasonable baseline for life estimates. Our Technical team can advise on this.
