Oil & Gas
Refineries are complex and challenging inspection environments which our range of explosion proof inspection technology is widely applicable as there are few areas of a plant we cannot access. Tanks, vessels, pipework, process vessels all can be surveyed by our qualified technicians and wide range of inspection instruments
Optical gas imaging is the method of using thermal infrared cameras to visualize gas, including methane and many other organic gases. These specialised Thermal cameras are fast-acting gas leak detection devices. They help keep your workers, your workplace, and your environment safer.
A variety of cameras exisit which enables a very wide range of gases to be Surveyed for their emission. Regular inspections can identify problems before they arise, saving you time and money in the long run.
Thermal imaging or IR cameras have a wide range of applications. Thermal imaging cameras can be used to identify a many issues, such as problems with thermal insulation on hot vessels or pipework and therefore critical when moisture is getting in and creating the potential for CUI.
Control rooms and sub stations must be regularly checked for electrical faults, panels can have IR windows fitted so that surveys can be done more safely.
Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC) is an industry accepted NDT inspection technique, which is an ideal tools for detecting corrosion under insulation (CUI) and fireproofing (CUF).
Advanced eddy current inspection technology can help detect hidden corrosion before it becomes a potentially expensive and hazardous problem.
Inspectahire utilizes Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC) and PEC Array (PECA) inspection services for tanks, spheres, piping systems, and other assets. Inspectahire pioneered its use with Shell for verifying the integrity of 100's of production wells in the North Sea.
Storage tanks come in all shapes and sizes and contain solids, liquids and gases, so all pose inspection challenges. Our EMMUA153 qualified tank inspectors guide clients and our teams as to the requirements of the inspection standard and what can be done to ensure compliance.
Inspectahire carry out Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) surveys across the UK and is perhaps one of the most significant integrity threats that the oil and gas industry faces today.
Water ingress causes damage to pipework and other susceptible steel elements, but the corrosion process underneath existing insulation materials is one of the most difficult to prevent. Our portable X-ray backscatter technology, PEC and thermal imaging give clients a number of options on how to investigate prone assets.
Ultrasonic Testing is one of the NDT Services that can be provided by Inspectahire. We have a range of UT instruments - ATEX / Waterproof / and even bespoke for the differing applications our clients have.
Verifying the thickness of metal and its condition is widely required throughout the refining industry and its affiliates. Probes can be deployed by our technicians or mounted onto mechanised deployment devices and now even by drone.
We have Videoprobes from sub 3mm diameter through to the longest at 30m, which allows many inspection requirements to be provided for. Our range includes Explosion proof versions.
Articulated Videoscopes offer the user a host of advanced features enabling remote visual inspection of difficult or hard to reach areas. Some have interchangeable objectives, others can have a stereo measurment capability.
As well as hiring such instruments, we can carry out an internal inspection of pipes, pressure vessels, machined galleries, turbines etc on site.
Mechanical Integrity Inspections of Ammonia Refrigeration Systems is a specialist service carried out by Inspectahire across the UK. While the regulation does not contain specific inspection requirements, industry mechanical integrity guidelines include both periodic visual inspections of equipment and non-destructive testing. Complimented by our Optical Gas Imaging camera, the GF306, we can actually vizualize any Ammonia emissions
Eddy Current Testing is the fastest way to assess the condition of non-ferrous tubing in chillers, condensers, feed water heaters and evaporators.
With data collection speeds twice that of any other inspection method, work is performed swiftly and efficiently. UT is a very effective scanning methodology with more qualitative surveys being based on its findings than using other NDT techniques.
