Ammonia Mechanical Integrity Inspections

Overview

Mechanical Integrity Inspections of Ammonia Refrigeration Systems is a specialist service carried out by Inspectahire across the UK.

While the regulation does not contain specific inspection requirements, industry mechanical integrity guidelines include both periodic visual inspections of equipment and non-destructive testing.

Visual inspections are usually conducted by trained plant maintenance personnel and are recommended on an annual basis. Our technicians deploy with the FLIR GF306 gas imaging camera to enable large areas of plant to be surveyed comprehensively for any unwanted emissions.

With the ever increasing failure of Ammonia Refrigeration Systems across the UK it is highly recommended that Mechanical Integrity Inspections are carried out by Qualified Inspectors and they would look at Pressure Vessels such as:

  • Hi Pressure Receivers
  • Low Pressure Receivers
  • Accumulators
  • Intercoolers
  • Chillers
  • Surge Drums
  • Transfer Stations

Technicians and Inspectors are available throughout the UK. Ammonia Refrigeration Systems Mechanical Integrity Inspections can be carried out on site throughout in the UK, with inspections normally carried out in conjunction with other NDT methods to produce a comprehensive Inspection Service.
